Product Photographer / Graphic Designer

This position is in the office Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Simplicity Air Ltd. is seeking a talented Product Photographer / Graphic Designer to join our team. We are looking for a highly creative individual who can transform conceptual ideas into visually compelling representations for print and electronic media. Your expertise in branding and marketing will play a critical role in shaping our product’s look, feel, and experience. The ideal candidate will have experience creating in both the digital and analog space and have efficiently accomplished the following items: marketing and sales materials, case studies, illustrations, product sell sheets, product photography, whitepapers, business presentations, trade show collateral, and infographics. As our Product Photographer / Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating Simplicity Air's digital catalogue of products, a process that will leverage your collaborative skills and ability to translate your knowledge of technical design concepts and product information using a variety of media and software tools. You will showcase your comfort within the design and your strengths in project management but be versatile enough to shift gears as required. You enjoy being a part of every step of the graphic design process, from concept to the final deliverable.

Job Duties

• Photograph and categorize all products.
• Assist in the design of a product catalogue.
• Design and create engaging marketing and sales material, case studies, illustrations, product introductions, product photography, whitepapers, business presentations, trade show content, and infographics.
• Develop concepts and execute original content determining ideal usage of colour, text, font style, imagery, and layout.
• Translate strategic direction into high-quality designs within established brand identity.
• Brainstorm ways to improve our client experience and help evolve our corporate brand in the marketplace.
• Support the development of all of Simplicity Air’s marketing strategies.
• Assist in the creation of internal and external company communications.
• Prepare marketing materials for marketing-related events.
• Assist in the conceptualization and creation of organizational marketing campaigns.
• Participate in market research to identify current market trends.
• Maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities satisfactorily.
• Ensure the delivery of projects within schedules and timelines.
• Promote the organization's mission, vision, and values internally and externally.

Experience and Qualifications

You Have:

• Post-Secondary education in Graphic Design or a related discipline.
• 2 years of experience in graphic design.
• A solid creative portfolio of previous work.
• A creative mindset to be able to bring a design to life with simple instructions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proven experience with digital photography and image processing, with a preference for product photography.
• A background in industrial or manufacturing marketing (an asset).
• B2B marketing experience (an asset).

Your Technical Skills

• Extensive experience using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Comfortable shooting and editing digital video using Adobe Premiere.
• Knowledge of motion graphics creation using Adobe After Effects.
• Graphic design skills related to creating projects designed for the print, video, and social media space.
• Overall knowledge of working within the Microsoft Office 365 range of applications.
• Familiar with Customer Relationship Management software, preferably ZOHO CRM

Submissions Required

Digital Portfolio of the following

• 1 work sample where you were provided with a product and were asked to photograph the product. Provide the original image and the processed result.
• 1 work example where you created some social media marketing elements for a product. This could be with assets you captured and edited or with product assets you were provided.
• 1 work sample of a product catalogue or sales sheet that you would have designed and developed for multiple products.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
