This Ful-time Sessional position is currently being recruited for as a Full-Time Contract to August 23, 2023.

Purpose:
Under the direction of the Manager, Operations, the Program Secretary provides administrative and secretarial support to academic programs, Centres, and faculty at Osgoode Hall Law School including support for course work, research activities, events and preparing financial paperwork. This position is the front-line service provider to the faculty and students at the Law School providing excellent customer service.

Education:
High school diploma with some post-secondary secretarial training.

Experience:
2 - 3 years recent related secretarial/administrative experience providing support to academic programs and faculty, experience completing financial forms (e.g., claims for reimbursement) and coordinating events. Working experience with Learning Management System (e.g., eClass).

Skills:
Intermediate to advanced: Word. Excel. E-mail software (e.g., Outlook), WordPerfect. Intermediate knowledge in eClass, Legal Citation, Endnotes. PowerPoint, MS Access, Concur and eReports. Demonstrated Skills: Demonstrated ability to work courteously and effectively with people, obtaining and providing information in a clear and concise manner, excellent organizational skills, including ability to work effectively under pressure of high volume, demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines, demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team, excellent communications skills (oral and written), demonstrated good judgement and initiative, demonstrated effectiveness in attending to details, tact and diplomacy essential, and ability to maintain confidentiality, punctuality and reliability.

Please note: This position requires the candidate to produce a verification of degree(s), credentials(s), or equivalencies from accredited institutions and/or international equivalents at the time of interview.Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30. Occasionally hours may switch to work an afternoon shift (e.g., 11:00am to 7:00pm or 10am to 6pm) during Mooting competitions and events and occasionally may be required to switch a weekday to cover a Saturday event.Summer: SameOccasional overtime will be availableOvertime may be offered/available: January, March, SeptemberPeak periods for this position are January, March, April, SeptemberVacation is restricted during peak periods.
