Project Manager (reports to Chief Project Officer):

What your role entails:
· The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of the project according to contractual terms and customer specifications.
· The Project Manager leads the internal team; with their team is held accountable for delivering commitments on time and on budget; and when appropriate, escalates issues and ensures the resolution of any problems.
· The Project Manager manages, and is responsible for, the full spectrum of the project from budget and scope control and scheduling through to installation and implementation.
· The Project Manager is responsible for identifying all resources required for the project and requests the required resources from the appropriate functional manager.
· The Project Manager oversees the tasks and assignments of staff assigned to the project recognizing that issues pertaining to individual performance remains the responsibility of the respective functional manager.
· The Project Manager will establish and maintain a working environment conducive to positive morale, individual style, quality, creativity and teamwork.
What your responsibilities would be:
· Detailed planning and scheduling of all project phases during the life of the project.
· Establish the responsibilities of all groups to the project clearly and coordinate them so that individually and collectively everyone can carry out their tasks efficiently, within budget and on schedule.
· Manage the project schedule of all project-related phases and milestones.
· Review the status of the work at regular intervals, trace root cause of deficiencies and take prompt corrective action.
· Ensure any potential project impacts are escalated appropriately in a prompt and effective manner.
· Manage project budget and profitability.
· Selection of contractors where required with input from the customer.
· Ensure that systems, procedures and policies for carrying out the work are properly applied through the project.
· Communicate project progress both internally and to the customer.
· Manage billing and change order process.
· Manage the customer relations for the project. Act as primary customer contact and maintain a good working relationship with the customer for design, costing, process and quality-related issues. Facilitate communications between customers and internal resources as required.
· Follow up and expedite procurement, external manufacturing and assembly. Coordinate and manage on-site installation, commissioning and acceptance tests.
· Maintain comprehensive project records.
· Work within company policies and direction to meet overall business objectives.
· Travel is required as a function of project commitments.
· Perform other duties as required.

What you should have:
· 3-5 years of successful and proven experience managing Capital projects (CAPEX)
· Post-secondary education in Engineering, Project Management or related field
· Strong technical orientation with knowledge of electrical and mechanical assemblies
· Creative and results-oriented, with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
· Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
· Proficient computer skills in MS Office
· Strong leadership ability. Ethical and a professional working style.
· Excellent verbal, written communication skills
· Excellent analytical, decision making skills
· Able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
