The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for
Project Manager with large heavy civil earthworks construction projects experience.
Nuna is the largest Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks and mine construction contractor in Canada.
Location: COTE GOLD MINE - TIMMINS / GOGAMA ONTARIO

Reporting to the leadership team, the successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Management team to coordinate the project to the satisfaction of the client, consistent with the costs, schedule, and contractual requirements. The Project Manager will help maintain client relationships enhancing future business.
Duties:
- Assist with full cycle project execution, from startup, execution, through to close out of the project to the satisfaction of the client, consistent with safety, cost, schedule, and contractual requirements.
- Ability to manage remote civil and earthworks project sites.
- Demonstrate experience with Contract Change Management and Project Controls disciplines.
- Assisting in developing cost estimates and budgets
- Ensuring maintenance of total quality performance standards, procedures, and audit controls in order to meet business requirements
- Identifying and implementing process improvements in order to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of site operations
- Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
- Contribute to the preparation of work plans and work packages
- Demonstrate exceptional safety leadership, ensuring understanding and compliance of all related safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Coach, mentor and lead by example. Provide direction and review the performance of team members.
- The Project Manager will ensure that established company goals are realized while maintaining client relationships that will enhance future business.
- Plays a lead role in influencing client expectations and ensuring client satisfaction in area of responsibility.
Qualifications
:
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Heavy Civil Earthworks/ Mining project experience is required.
- Completed post-secondary degree or diploma in construction-related discipline.
- Civil, Mining or Construction Engineering Degree preferred.
- Experience with earthworks and heavy machinery an asset.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A high level of organizational skills.
- Above average computer skills including MS office, Primavera, SharePoint. JD Edwards is an asset.
- Able to work at our remote worksites on a rotational basis.
- Previous experience working on site in Northern Canada is considered an Asset.
- Previous work experience may be considered over the education requirements.
