Job Summary
Oversees planning and execution of small and relatively simple projects.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the management of construction and maintenance projects.
- Planning and scheduling and organizing and directing site construction and maintenance.
- Assisting with tender development and proposal evaluation, including interpretation and negotiation and administers and manages contractors and consultants.
- Maintaining records including approvals and permits, as-built drawings and quality control records and project performance reports.
- Creating and maintaining project schedule and document work progress.
- Maintaining project budgets.
- Upholding health and safety standards and company values.
- Communicating with other managers and coordinating operational and maintenance and construction priorities.
IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
- Education: Degree or diploma in construction or project management or engineering or demonstrated equivalency.
- Experience: At least 3 years of construction or supervisory related experience with preference for civil construction experience.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
- None required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present information.
- Strong organization, time management and analytical skills.
- Ability to comprehend design drawings and specifications and related permits including the ability to interpret and solve problems.
- Experience with MS Office applications including Microsoft Project.
