Purchasing Coordinator Job at Recruiting in Motion
Our client is seeking a Full Cycle Purchasing Coordinator to join their accounting team. This position is located in Woodbridge, Ontario, reports to the Controller and is a work-in-office, 5 days-a-week role.
Duties:
- Must generate purchase orders, review proforma invoices and submit them to the vendor
- Must process purchase orders and ensure accurate matching to vendor invoices for accuracy of items/quantities/costs
- Track order status, resolve discrepancies and follow up on back-ordered items
- Assist in customs and freight coordination, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to requirements
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Support full cycle accounts payable by verifying invoices, performing matching to back up and resolving billing issues
Qualifications:
- 1 year plus experience in a similar position is an absolute requirement
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Experience with computerized accounting systems
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Must have a high degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong analytic abilities
- Strong and effective communication skills (verbal, written)
