Job Overview:

Responsible for performing Food Safety and Food Quality tasks in direct support of Plant operations which includes completing line checks verifying that finished product aligns with applicable laws and company standards

Shifts Available:

• Night Shift: 10:45pm - 7:00am

Location: 725 Intermodal Drive, Brampton ON

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring Proper Line checks during production which include line clearance of the previous run, first pack bin check for lot coding, labelling with expiration/best before dates and weight declaration
• Monitoring CCP’s throughout the shift to ensure food safety compliances of the product
• Perform inspections of finished product to ensure it aligns with specifications including packaging instructions and declared weight
• Creating and printing labels using Label View software for the products with the correct product ID/date coding as per marketing specifications
• Determine moisture content, pH, density, and viscosity for every batch of cookies/icing produced
• Determine the overall quality of the product such as seal tests for icing pouches and fondant evaluation
• Perform evaluation of product for its appearance, colour, texture, flavour/taste
• Perform cookie's physical attributes such as diameter, height, and weight
• Recording oven temperature

Qualifications:

• Completion of high school education or equivalent
• · Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience
• Preffered: Previous experience in the Food, Dairy, or a Beverage production environment

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to heavy machinery
• Exposure to loud noises
• Exposure to forklift and other machine traffic
• Requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions, and on selecting environment (Dry, Cooler, Freezer)
• Requirement to lift up to 50lbs and work in a repetitive motion
