Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary school certificate or diploma, preferably in the Engineering and/or Quality field or equivalent experience
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) designation is an asset
- 3 years experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of SPC, blueprint reading, GD&T, metrology, use of measuring instruments
- Knowledge of CMM equipment is an asset

General Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain procedures to control, calibrate and maintain inspection, measuring and test equipment used to demonstrate the conformance of product to specified requirements.
- Ensure all procedures conform to the Quality Management Systems
- Travel to customers and suppliers as required
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and records
- Assist in dimensional verification of sample and production parts as required
- Participate in cross-functional teams as required
- Report all non-conformances to the Quality Manager
- Participate in APQP activities of new product launches, ensuring timing and expectations are met
- Prepare and submit PPAP documentation for customer approval
- Respond to customer concerns, leading 8-D problem solving teams as required
- Monitor plant FTQ, scrap and rework to identify trends requiring action
- Troubleshoot internal product and quality system issues, including the preparation of Quality
Alerts and leading corrective action teams
- Perform internal and layered audits as required
- Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Safety Responsibilities:
- Ensure that you work in compliance of the Occupational Health and Safety Act including but not limited to all requirements outlined in Section 28.
- Review, understand and comply with all policies and procedures in the Dresden Industrial Health and Safety Manual.
Quality Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality standards on all products and processes
- Exercise compliance with Quality Management Systems when implementing and performing all company procedures
Environmental Responsibilities:
- Integrate environmental practices and commit to the continuous improvement of the EMS
- Exercise compliance with ISO 14001 standards
