Belwood Poultry Ltd. is an expanding and dynamic Turkey processing plant. We are seeking reliable, hardworking, motivated and dedicated individual to lead our Food Safety team. The Quality Assurance is responsible for the management and maintenance of the Food Safety program at Belwood Poultry to ensure the plant’s ability to demonstrate ongoing compliance.

Hours and Days of Work

• Permanent Full time, day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Occasional Saturdays may be required

Job Requirement

• Provide Food Safety support to other members of QA and production during the Shift
• Food Safety Liaise with CFIA and SQF
• Maintains Food Safety documents according to the written program, ensures that documents are reviewed/revised as scheduled.
• Learn how to perform on site testing and critical control point monitoring
• Assist management of the corrective action program to reduce the occurrence of repeat deficiencies/deviations
• Provide timely and effective feedback to the Production Supervisors and Management.
• Maintain food safety knowledge, remaining informed of regulatory changes and new policies.
• Control any non-compliant product that has been produced, perform a food safety assessment and determine appropriate disposition
• Perform other minor office functions as requested by management (filing/spreadsheet completion, etc.)

Qualifications and Experience:

Years of experience related to the job offer:

• Strong understanding of Sanitation, SOPs, Pre-requisite Programs, HACCP, CCP’s and GMP’s
• 1-2 years’ experience in the Food industry, meat industry preferred.
• The candidate must be flexible to change, take initiative, and be able to make rapid decisions as necessary. We are looking for a team player with strong interpersonal communication skills.
