Job Title: Regional Director

Reports to: Vice President, Retail Operations & Client Experience

Location: Remote, Canada


As a Regional Director at Sephora, you will:

Lead and maximize business strategies, sales and profitability for a region within Canada. The Regional Director is accountable for the sales results, business objectives, maximizing profitability, ensuring we deliver on the employee journey and overall performance within the region. In your role, as a strategic leader, you will also drive the vision and objectives for the stores to support the Canadian strategy.


Business/Operations

  • Directs accountability for sales, profit and the client experience with consistency.
  • Delivers on region and company objectives.
  • Is an advocate for stores, sharing critical insights and feedback to Field Support Centre (FSC) business partners to address roadblocks and assist in shaping strategy.
  • Engage with cross-functional leaders to align priorities.
  • Manage strategic plans, lead execution, and support Sephora’s vision while holding your teams accountable to deliver results.
  • Conduct store visits with the District Managers to evaluate and identify business opportunities to improve sales growth, profitability, and client service.
  • Anticipate and analyze industry trends within the region and implement strategic action plans to impact the business.
  • Provides recommendations to the VP of Retail Operations & Client Experience for existing and new growth opportunities.
  • Identify market specific opportunities and develop strategies with District Managers to maximize sales potential by accurately forecasting sales, ensuring the staffing plans are in alignment with the business trends, and adjusting payroll accordingly.
  • In partnership with District Managers, Market Business Operations Managers and Director of Operations, create action plans to increase profit and control variable expenses by evaluating the P&L on a monthly basis.
  • Be innovative within your Region and share best practices to impact the performance of the entire organization.
  • Establish relationships with key Field Support Centre partners to ensure that your Region’s needs are met and sales and profitability are maximized.
  • Actively problem solve and remove obstacles for your team and for your stores with the intent to drive positive change and influence the optimal customer and employee experience.
  • Leader of transformational changes.
  • Work with District Managers on store visit schedules to ensure all stores are supported.
  • Conduct Regional meetings as needed.


People Leadership

  • Manage with integrity and honesty to support the Sephora culture and demonstrates our company values when interacting with employees, external brand partners and vendors.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one conversations with all District Managers creating individual development plans for their continued growth.
  • Create an inclusive environment and develop diverse teams and leaders.
  • Build talent strategies, succession and development plans for your region to support the business objectives and growth plans.

  • Take initiative to make a difference in the organization. Challenge the status quo!
  • Own personal development plan in partnership with VP Retail Operations & Client Service.

  • Ability to travel across Canada (50-60%).
  • Spoken and written French competency is an asset.
