Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Job at Family Practice
We are hiring a full-time RPN to join our busy family medicine practice in Kitchener Ontario. Applicants must be have positive attitude, hard-working, possess superior time management and multi-tasking skills and be comfortable with computers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Taking and recording vital signs while completing the patient intake process
- Triaging of telephone calls for urgency and booking patient appointments as needed
- Administering immunizations of infant, children and adults and other injections
- Performing ear syringing, glucometer checks, suture/staple removal, wound care, and appropriately labelling all specimens
- Reviewing lab results and consults and alerting the physician of any urgent results.
- Order and maintain medical supplies and vaccines as needed.
- Assisting physicians as required; prepares patient and equipment for procedures
- Cleans examining rooms between patients
Qualifications:
- Registered practical nurse, holding a current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum 1 year professional experience in a family practice preferred
- Strong clinical skills demonstrated by knowledge and proficiency in current, evidence-based methods and practices of primary care nursing services
- Proficiency with immunizations, both childhood and adult.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
