Position Overview
As Retail Associate at the Inverness Pantry, you should share a passion for service excellence and infuse enthusiasm into everything you do. You are highly reliable and responsible and model the exceptional service that is a hallmark of our Cabot Cape Breton experience. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to connect with customers, guests, and associates. You are proud to represent the Cabot brand, and proactively act as an ambassador and role model of exceptional service.

- Extremely knowledgeable of retail products.
- Answer the phone in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote merchandise and provide suggestions to guests as appropriate to meet their needs.
- Remain calm and courteous while focusing attention on customer/guest needs.

- Demonstrate a positive attitude and excellent organizational,

Operational Excellence:
- Maintain clean, presentable, and full stocked merchandise displays.
- Ensure the Inverness Pantry maintains highest level of cleanliness and appearance standards.
- Demonstrate effective and proactive organization skills.
- Transport merchandise from stock room to sales floor.
- Assist in packing and/or unpacking, arranging, and displaying of merchandise inventory.
- Record phone messages and ensure communication with Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail an asset.
- Experience with Point of Sales systems an asset.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching.
- Exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 lbs of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects.
