Job Summary:

Rod Guide Operator in Estevan, Saskatchewan is responsible for all duties associated with the operation of the mold injection unit and is required to carry out general maintenance responsibilities, including, but not limited to: equipment inspections repairs, and troubleshooting on the facility and manufacturing equipment through use of drawings, schematics, and interpretation and knowledge of applicable codes and safety regulations. You will be required to play a crucial role in ensuring that the facility is well-maintained, safe, and operational, step in as when needed for facility maintenance .

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Operating, maintaining, and calibration of the Mold Injection unit.
• Start-up, quality control sampling, and packaging.
• Cleaning, inspecting, and general prep work.
• Rod movements, crane work and order assembly.
• Reporting safety and maintenance hazards.
• Maintaining supplies in organized manner and replacing them as needed.
• Clean and inspect equipment, repair/replace broken parts.
• Responsible for all repairs and maintenance on machinery.
• Maintain safe work practices and following all policies and procedures.
• Material Handling- moving material including the use of a forklift or overhead crane.
• Material Preparation- Grinding, drilling, cutting, clamping, assembling, and preparing components.
• Installation of mechanical components.
• Testing of mechanical components.
• Assembling and preparing mechanical components.
• Cleaning of area and machines.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to facilitate machine repairs.
• Complete reports and mechanical documentation.
• Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety, and environmental requirements
• Participate in training programs as required by the company
• All other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of prior experience and knowledge of oilfield tubulars and/or sucker rods is an asset.
• Basic understanding of Hydraulics and Electrical trouble shooting.
• Training or previous experience in mold injection is an asset.
• Previous maintenance experience is considered an asset.
• Knowledge and experience with industrial manufacturing and mechanical work.
• Experience with blueprints.

HSE Requirements:

• Yard and shop environment, working indoors & outdoors. Possibility to be exposed to dust, fumes, or gases and changes of temperature/humidity
• Physical requirements: squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, lifting up to 32 kilograms, reaching, walking on rough ground, and working near moving equipment
• Required to at all times wear proper protective clothing and equipment and perform duties in a safe manner
• These positions have been determined to be "safety-sensitive" and are subject to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as per the Canadian Drug and Alcohol Policy
