Garda is currently seeking full-time security guards for our industrial projects. The successful candidate must live in Fort McMurray and have availability to work a seven shift on seven days off rotation.

What does a Security Guard in Fort McMurray do?
- Manage access control, badging through the computer system
- Camera surveillance for access/egress points of people, material, and equipment.
- Greet customers and register visitors as needed
- Act as a first responder in the event of a crisis or emergency
- Perimeter patrols, searches of camps, lay-down areas, storage facilities and Personal belonging including Vehicles, Bags etc.
- Must be able to work in areas that have exposure to height, noise and dusty environment including seasonal exposure to extreme cold/heat.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements:
- Manual dexterity,
- Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended period
- Heavy lifting up to fifty (50) lbs.
- Ability to understand and follow all site policy and procedures.
Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Fort McMurray
- A valid Alberta security guard license
- Standard first aid level C
- CSO
- Class 5 Driver s License, no restrictions
- Drivers Abstract (up to 5 years, experience dependent)
- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test
- Have a clear criminal background
- Be eligible to work in Canada
