We are looking for Security Guards who are proficient in their craft and pay attention to every detail. These locations require full awareness and a willingness to work as a Team to maximize safety for patrons, staff and yourself. As at all of Star Security Inc. locations we follow all of the appropriate guidelines and protocols that are in place including proper use of PPE. These sites REQUIRE ALL SECURITY TO HAVE 2 YEARS SECURITY EXPERIENCE. Only guards who meet the criteria will be considered for these positions.

Job Introduction
All Qualified Candidates must have a valid Ontario Security Guard License, detailed resume, and a valid First-Aid/CPR C AED certificate, and minimum education (high school diploma, or earned GED). The following responsibilities are only a brief description of duties and are not the only duties to be performed by any potential candidate. All employees are required to follow the site SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and any other instructions or duties requested by this position’s management.

Main Responsibilities
Our main goal is always ensuring our client's staff and property are safe and secure. You will be responsible to use your effective communication skills to deescalate any problems, and have the ability to remain calm under pressure and to remain professional at all times while respecting the ethics and boundaries polices currently in place. All potential candidates will be responsible for detailed report writing and will be a key skill required for this position.

Brief Duties and Responsibilities:

Access control for the facility/area
Enforce site rules and policies
Following site S.O.P’s
Detailed incident reports and Daily Occurrence Reports are mandatory
Must be willing to do site specific training during days off to ensure site compliance.
Have good decision making abilities and have the ability to take charge in the event of an emergency
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be willing to work shift work as we use a continental rotation.

Successful Candidates:

2 Years Security experience in a high risk security facility is an asset
Additional training USE of FORCE / MORB / NON VIOLENT CRISIS MANAGEMENT will be an asset.

Education in Police Foundations or equivalent. Must be physically fit and able to do long hours standing and walking. Advanced report Writing skill is a MUST. Own transportation is Preferred
