Senior Financial Analyst Job at Cascades
Your challenge!
Under the supervision of the Sales Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the month end/quarter end/year end closing of the accounting cycle. Develop and implement standardized financial process and will act as an expert in its field of responsibility.
Individual responsibilities
- Perform month end/quarter end/ year end journal entries
- Perform monthly Balance Sheet, income statement and changes in financial Position/budget variance analysis.
- Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliation including intercompany.
- Prepare and review Quarterly reporting packages.
- Assessing internal Controls, including risk assessments and review risk areas.
- Assist in overseeing daily operations (AR/AP/Administration) of the finance department.
- Participate in the annual budget process;
- Complete qualitative and quantitative analysis of forecasts, actual results and Ad Hoc projects to assist in management’s review
- Analyze KPI’s of the profitability sector, release accurate information, identify opportunities of improvement and contribute with the decisions making of the sector;
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of produced financial information and ensure conformity with Company accounting and reporting standards
Experiences and strengths
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and CPA title;
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); French an asset
- Experience in costing in a manufacturing field (an asset)
- Mastery of the office suite and advanced mastery of Excel
- Experience with SAP, SQL, Database, Power BI DAX
- In-depth analysis capability and autonomy and resourcefulness
- Sense of organization, efficiency rigor and attention to detail
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to develop a trusting relationship and be a good communicator of ideas.
