You are resourceful and energetic Senior Developer who is at the forefront of technology. As a technology leader, you possess expertise in full stack development enabling you to take on all aspects of development work and also lead team members by collaborating through extreme/paired programming. You have a knack for rallying fellow team members in delivering the best possible technical solutions. You hold your own with solution architects and product owners.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and be accountable for team's overall solution, coding and package configuration, peer reviews and quality of delivered code.
- Participate in process improvement efforts, track performance against team goals, and provide secondary support toward installation of application releases into production.
- Lead design reviews with Architecture and Product and developers to ensure common understanding and drive to consensus
- Contribute to team member performance assessments and help coach them to improve.
- Maintain communications with dev manager, business unit stakeholders and/or external customers.
- Accountable for accurate estimates for High Level Solution Estimates and Request For Proposals.
- Provide 3rd level Production support (including after hours) as necessary
Qualifications
Required Technical Skills
- 5-7 years of experience with CI/CD & Pipeline Development
- 5-7 years of experience in micro services. Strong ability to translate business needs into an optimal micro service model
- 5-7 years of experience implementing on DevOps and Cloud Solutions
- 5-7 years of experience implementing on Java/Spring/Maven
- Strong understanding and working experience with Web Technologies: REACT JS, CSS, JQuery, Spring MVC, JSP/Servlet, Redux, Material UI
- Service Layer Experience: Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, OAuth2, API Gateway Experience (ex. Kong, Apigee)
- Cloud Experience (GCP, AWS, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Experience implementing source control into auto-deployment
- Experience with Application Monitoring/Alerting solutions and investigation tools (ex. Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace)
- Experience with Maven, Jenkins, GIT, TFS or Bitbucket
- Batch Processing: Spring Batch, Quartz
- Knowledge and Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience integrating Agile tools into pipelines (ex. JIRA integration)
- Nice-to-have: FHIR, Nexus, SonarQube, Robot, Selenium, Cucumber, Swagger, Fortify Workbench scanning
- Nice-to-have: Experience migrating applications from Weblogic to GKE or similar
Required leadership skills:
- Exceptional ability to collaborate with key stakeholders, including: Product, Solution & Enterprise Architecture and your technical team to design best-in-class solutions that deliver on and exceed business objectives
- Ability to guide the team in defining small units of work that can be delivered and demonstrated within short Sprint timeframes
- Accountable for delivering clear and concise technical documentation that can be leveraged to gain alignment with all involved team members
- Ability to assess current state application architecture and design to provide recommendations on how to gain efficiencies
- Experience completing gap analysis on existing environment to identify technical risks and mitigating actions to reduce risks (ex. Gaps in Monitoring)
- Experience with full stack development that enables you to guide developers with varying skills and leverage team members’ individual expertise to produce ideal end products
- Help establish technical governance model to ensure key technical decisions are defined & documented by the team and reviewed with architecture to ensure alignment with the enterprise technology strategy
- Champion quality, innovation and the highest level of service to end users
- Lead by example by maintaining a client-services approach to supporting the team's existing products and delivering on new initiatives
