YOUR ROLE

At Ascend, our Sales Development Team is instrumental in driving the company’s growth. The Senior Sales Representative plays a key role in in driving the company’s growth. In this position, you will be part of the team, forming key strategic customer relationships. You will work closely with the CEO of the Sports Vertical to define our sales and go to market strategy. You’ll play a highly influential role in the growth of the company and will be given any resources to achieve our ambitious goals. Day to day, you will craft targeted outreach approaches and collaborate with our team to pursue a highly targeted prospective client. You are expected to effectively manage your inbox using creative follow-up communication for inbound and outbound dialogue. You will be expected to apply strong presentation and closing skills around technology fundraising solutions to very mature and experienced decision makers. You will collaborate alongside Sports Consultants, Account Managers to identify target customers, gather market specific intelligence, and drive growth. This role could be based in the Toronto or New York office depending on candidate preference.

Responsibilities

· Prospect and qualify new sales leads

· Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects

· Create, plan, and deliver presentations on our fundraising products and services

· Track all sales activities in company Salesforce CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly

· Communicate customer and prospect product pain points to appropriate departments specifically Customer Success, Support and Technology teams

· Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects

· Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers

· Meet and/or exceed quotas

· Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort

Desired Skills and Experience

· 5-7 years of experience selling into sponsorship, advertising and strategic B2B partnerships.

· Superior communication skills, collaborative with strong leadership and interpersonal skills

· Proven track record sales – in terms of both personal accomplishments

· Must be enthusiastic, creative and able to think both strategically and tactically

· Ability to work in a dynamic, high paced environment

· Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time

· Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics

· Strong customer service skills

· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

· Willingness and ability to work long hours, including holidays and weekends as required

· Experience in a competitive but diverse environment such as in consulting or a high growth startup, ideally in a leadership role.
