The team you will be a part of

We are a vibrant R&D team where network management meets cybersecurity. Composed of software designers, software developers in test and dev ops developers, we are always looking for new challenges and growth. Our product, Nokia NetGuard Identity Access Manager, is a network security product that analyzes and enriches security data to help security and network operations teams assess business risks, improve decision-making, and control costs.

Position: Software Developer Co-op/Intern
Duration: 3 months
Date: June 5th to September 5th, 2023
Location: Flexible (Virtual or Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada)

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of the team, you will:

• Work with a small, talented development team on a security product
• Develop in Java
• Use dev tools like git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, VMs, docker, Kubernetes
• Working in a CI/CD environment with virtual labs and other cloud environments

Your skills and experience

Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for a bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.

You have :

• Excellent programming skills with Java and Java APIs
• Passion for software development and problem-solving
• The ability to ask questions and communicate your ideas to those around you

It would be nice if you also had:

• Experience using REST APIs
• Experience in telecom, microservices, Docker, JBoss, MariaDB, git, RESTEasy
