General Description

Role

he Solutions Architect (SA) works with the Sales and Solutions team to scope out each client's needs and architect a solution that solves their business challenges. The Solutions Architect will work directly with clients in the pre-sales process to help translate their business requirements into a technical solution that can be quoted and estimated by the Engineering teams at Arctic Leaf.

The Solutions Architect will research, design, and map out solutions to complex technical issues, ultimately creating a technical requirements outline for prospective projects. They will design system architecture, infrastructure, provide software recommendations, and need to be highly skilled in application and infrastructure troubleshooting.

During the production process, the Solutions Architect will consult with directors and executives to provide technical direction on systems analysis, design, development, and troubleshooting.

This position is a full-time salary exempt position. They would work closely with other members of the solutions team as well as the account management team.

This individual must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment while carrying out job duties as to matters significant to the company's business by possessing the power to evaluate possible courses of action and to implement a decision after considering various options. It will be expected that this individual will be able to make an independent choice or decision free from immediate direction or supervision (and with respect to matters of significance), even if the decision is subject to approval by higher level management. When given special assignments and tasks, this will be executed under only general supervision.

NOTE: Starting pay varies depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the solutions team and new clients to understand the business requirements and help initiate accurately quote projects.
• Collaborate with clients, partners, and vendors to effectively strategize the best solutions to their problems.
• Think creatively to generate new ideas and concepts that address shortcomings in existing solutions on the market today.
• Build architectural and technical plans which provide the basis for technical estimation and a roadmap for the production team to build upon.
• Be an expert within the industry and have an understanding of the norms and trends in order to produce the most effective and on time work as possible.
• Work effectively with various internal departments to understand their needs and timelines.

Work Experience Requirements

• 7+ years in a role coding and developing software applications in web, mobile or cloud contexts
• 4+ years in a lead or senior Developer role
• 2+ years designing software architecture solutions where architecture diagrams and documentation were part of the requirements of the job
• 2+ years in a Digital Agency environment

Strong grasp of the following Frameworks/Languages/Technologies:

• Cloud (SaaS) Ecommerce Platforms such as Shopify & Big Commerce
• Node.js and TypeScript Development
• Angular and React knowledge and/or experience
• Knowledge of what the different AWS services do and how to connect them

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• A strong desire to help our clients succeed.
• Familiarity with HubSpot or other similar CRM.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, directors, and developers.
• Past roles at E-commerce or online subscription companies.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
• Self-starter that enjoys delighting clients and meeting schedule deadlines.
• Expert verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solver, who embraces complex integration scenarios.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience and responsibilities in development for E-commerce and/or modern Web applications

Education Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $115,000.00 per year
