JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Independent Fundraising (IF), the Independent Fundraising Specialist is primarily responsible for implementing assigned third-party fundraising campaigns with a focus on acquisitions, lead generation, re-engagement, stewardship, and digital expansion to optimize the current IF portfolio and support its revenue goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Senior Manager to implement the new retention, stewardship, and digital tactics to create a best-in-class third-party fundraising experience to grow the supporter base and revenue
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to integrate independent fundraising in nation-wide campaigns such as Daffodil, Holiday, Hockey Fights Cancer, etc.
  • Optimize existing independent fundraising digital platforms and new digital tactics to grow revenue and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Creation of tools and resources to support lead generation and new business development opportunities.
  • Supports the Supporter Engagement team with fundraising support and training needs.
  • Monitors and optimizes Salesforce Dashboards and continually identifies and actions discrepancies with data
  • Working in partnership with Sr. Manager, Independent Fundraising Events, liaise external partners and vendors from concept to development.
  • Responsible for revenue tracking and invoice processing
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to drive a digital transformation culture
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree required, in a related field (preferably Marketing) with three or more years executing community-based fundraising strategies or events.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, project management and analytical skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. attention to details are necessary attributes.
  • Ability to set priorities, demonstrate a positive attitude, troubleshoot and problem solve independently using sound judgement.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend work
  • Advance level of proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce
  • Working knowledge of digital fundraising platforms such as Donor Drive, Luminate Online an asset.
  • Bilingual an asset
