GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • identify staffing needs and create work schedules on a regular basis;
  • working closely with operations and temporary agencies to ensure staffing needs are met;
  • maintain communication with employees regarding absences;
  • prepare and maintain staffing absence reports;
  • provide support to Supervisors/Managers will absence and vacation reporting;
  • provide HR support to employees.
  • Manage overtime for hourly employees as required
  • Manage and process employees shift transfer request


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • minimum 1 year administrative/ clerical experience required;
  • Grade 12 diploma required;
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between plants required;
  • Prior experience with scheduling and time and attendance would be an asset;
  • Business Administration or HR Certificate/diploma would be an asset.

EXPERIENCE/ PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point;
  • ability to work within payroll and HRIS;
  • strong planning/ organizational skills;

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • normal amount of sitting and standing;
  • ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor;
  • ability to work at a computer workstation;
  • ability to bend, twist, lift, reach;
  • ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
