About Us
Zen Maker Lab is an innovative engineering and education lab that designs programs and products for kids and youth. We run STEM/STEAM programs across Canada and internationally (online) in areas such as robotics, VR/AR, coding, 3D design and 3D printing, electronics, fabrication, animation, illustration, game development, and more. We are based in North Vancouver, BC.
Location for this Position: College of the Rockies, Cranbrook, BC & College of the Rockies, Fernie Campus, Fernie, BC
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with and/or running STEAM Summer Camps. The topics include basic electronics, electronic simulation, small scale STEM focused projects and crafts, arts and crafts.
Necessary Skills + Qualifications:
- Enjoy working with kids
- Good communication skills
- Interest in STEM/STEAM
- Criminal record check (we can process this and pay for this).
- First Aid training required (can be arranged before camp starts)
Support: Training for this position will be provided.
Wage: $20.52 to $25 per hour depending on experience
Other:
A criminal record check will be required.
This term employment could turn into longer term, ongoing, part time or full time employment in the Cranbrook area. The ideal candidate would be an engineering or design university study or a grad from a STEM/STEAM program with an interest in education and teaching.
