About the position:
We are looking for a Technical Trainer to assist our team
- Reporting directly to the Production Manager (PRM), and the QA Manager.
- Schedule and conduct indoctrination and recurrent training in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations and EASA requirements (including but not limited to Human Factors, MPM, EWIS).
- Through communication with customers, schedule and conduct customer initial and recurrent training on their specific policies and procedures.
- Keep and maintain all employee training records, as well as upgrading existing record keeping systems from paper to digital formats.
- Work closely with the PRM and QA Manager to ensure all training standards are being met and maintained for compliance with CAR’s.
- Train employees to obtain Pearson International Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP).
- Provide letters of recommendation (for ACA Card approvals) to the QA Manager.
- Promote current policies and procedures as defined in the company MPM and QCP documents.
- Revise existing procedures and generate new processes to enhance safety, knowledge and efficiencies.
- Participate in regular departmental meetings.
- Actively participate in the Wright International SMS including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the company safety policies.
- The duties and responsibilities of the job function may vary from time to time based on the workload in the facility.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
- AME experience preferred.
- Must have or be able to attain a RAIC and AVOP.
- Previous experience within the aviation industry and MPM and QCP documents.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Excel).
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Must be a Canadian citizen or have landed immigrant status.
- In accordance with Transport Canada requirements, proof of complete vaccination against Covid 19 is required!
