Job Summary

Tutor Doctor is looking for positive and enthusiastic tutors in all subjects, to join our team to work in Delta BC, including Ladner & Tsawwassen. Ideally a prospective Tutor will need to be located in Ladner, Tsawwassen and Delta.

Who we are:

Tutor Doctor provides one-to-one individualized instruction in the home and online. We work with students of all ages; whether the student is an elementary student with a learning disability or a teen requiring advanced instruction, our tutoring services are customized to individual abilities and needs. The majority of students we support are in grades 2 through 12 and early university. Subjects covered are Math, English, Sciences, Social Studies and French.

ABOUT THIS POSITION:

We are seeking new in-home tutors who are knowledgeable and qualified to work with students in a 1-on-1 setting working in-person at the students home or public location locally for the student. This is a part-time contract position. We offer students based on tutor qualifications, location, and teaching style. Our tutors choose which students to accept and determine their own weekly schedule. Tutors are matched to students based on qualifications, subject/ grade expertise, availability, and location.

Tutors who are successfully contracted will be required to submit a vulnerable sector check before they can begin working with students. We offer an orientation, access to resources, and ongoing support.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 years of post-secondary education in a related field of study
• Knowledge of teaching techniques and learning styles
• Tutoring experience (Formal or Informal)
• Excellent communication skills
• Dependability and professionalism
• Located in Ladner, Tsawwassen or Delta.

COMPENSATION:

Hourly rate of $22- $26 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Salary: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

If we work in-home with a family, we are asking for confirmation of vaccination status for all involved. Also masks to be worn if needed.
