General Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor, located in Laval Canada, is responsible for all administrative and customer service activities for the location. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety of the facility and all employees and visitors to the facility. While working in a chemical warehousing environment, the Warehouse Supervisor’s job function also includes routing the movement of the incoming and outgoing freight shipments. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for monitoring all deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining accurate logs of all transportation and goods. This position is responsible for preparing and arranging shipping and receiving documents. The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers in both French and English is essential. The position has one direct report in the warehouse that they direct and supervise.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Customer Service Responsibilities:
· Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests
· Processes customer orders/changes/returns/credits according to established department policies and procedures
· Works closely with the accounts receivable to resolve disputed credit items
· Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns
· Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations
· Receives complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints to designated department for investigation
· Support US based CS team members to ensure customers are taken care of on a daily basis
Administrative & Other Responsibilities:
· Filing
· Maintain office supplies
· Other tasks as needed
Manage the warehouse operation:
o Ensure safety of all ACTEGA employees and visitors throughout the facility
o Assign tasks and supervise performance of the warehouse operator
o Serve as the back-up during times when the warehouse operator is not available (material handling, loading and unloading trucks)
o Prepare Deliveries, and BOL’s
o Picking batch numbers
o Effectively communicate with carriers of inbound and outbound loads
o Provide customs documents as needed
o Ensure proper HazMat documentation and handling
o Ensure inventory records accuracy
o Develop, publish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety, quality and productivity
Minimum Qualifications
· Associate’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
· Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a customer service or warehouse position
· Previous logistics experience is preferred
· Previous supervisory experience preferred
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work and make decisions about routine matters independently
· Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Strong sense of discretion and professionalism
· Bi-lingual (Fluent in both French and English in all written, & verbal communication)
