Toromont Cat is looking for a Welder to join our team! A Welder plays an important role in our Service department providing technical expertise to ensure superior customer service in the repair and fabrication of parts and structures in our shop.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
• Operate electric, acetylene and semi-automatic welding and automatic burning equipment effectively and efficiently
• Fabricate structures from drawings or sketches
• Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within the established time standards out in the field
• Restore damaged steel and cast iron components by welding, dissembling and assembling relative components
• Maintain an inventory of materials used for fabrication
• Maintain and build strong customer relations

Must-haves for this role:

• Post-secondary education with a Welder Certificate in GMAW, SMAW and FCAW and/or experienced/Certified Machinist for Diesel or Heavy Equipment
