The Work Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and forecasting work, material, and equipment to ensure effective coordination of resources and equipment in the Transmission Construction & Maintenance department. Each Work Planner has a provincial responsibility to ensure that all work has been assessed and coordinated between various departments internally and externally to NB Power.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, schedule, and forecast Transmission Construction & Maintenance work.
  • Plan, schedule, and forecast Transmission Construction & Maintenance outage permits.
  • Communicating with Internal and External Parties.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Engineering Technology Diploma OR
  • Powerline Technician CQ OR
  • Power System Technician CQ OR
  • Electrician CQ.
  • Five (5) years experience working within an electrical utility/Industrial Operational environment.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Work Planning or Project Management.
  • Two (2) years of experience in:
    • Experience with the Microsoft Suite of products (Word, Excel, Visio etc.).
    • Valid Class 5 Drivers License.

An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
