1:1 Classroom Assistant Job at Brighton School
We're looking for a positive, proactive and experienced person to provide 1:1 assistance to a student in our Primary classroom from January 2023 - June, 2023 (with possible renewal for following year). Duties would include helping the student learn classroom and school routines, complete independent seat work or computer work; adapting or modifying academic work; assisting with self-regulation; supporting social skills development; taking data and writing daily reports. Able to work as part of a collaborative team in implementing classroom strategies and procedures that support the success of the student.
Educational qualifications could include the following: Developmental Services Worker (DSW) ; Behaviour Technician; Social Services Worker; Early Childhood Education (ECE); or Educational Assistant (EA). At least 1 year of previous experience is preferred.
Hours are approximately 8:45 - 3:45, from January 9 until June 16, 2023. Contract may be renewed for subsequent years.
Hourly rates range from $22 - $24/hour depending on qualifications and experience. Please reply with your resume and a short cover letter.
