We are currently recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to assist our client with a spinal cord injury in all activities of daily living.
Start Date:
- As soon as possible
Location:
- North Vancouver (Near Loutet Park)
Shifts & Hours of Work:
- 24-hour shifts: 3 or 4 days a week
- Shift start time: 10am or 11am
- Flexibility of days but in a row
Compensation:
- $330 per 24-hour shift
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Personal care routine such as BM routine (suppository, digital stimulation), bladder care (leg bag drainage and intermittent catheter care), shower routine and dressing
- Assist client with transfers using ceiling lift (client prefers manual transfers)
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Light housekeeping
- 1 night-time support turning/covers
Required Qualifications:
- Fully Vaccinated
- Caregiving experience preferred
- Physically fit and strong (client is 5'10" and 250 pounds)
- Non-smoker and non-drug user
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Drivers License preferred
