What qualifications are we looking for?
At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following;
- Certificate in Office Administration or Business Administration;
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in areas such as Customer Service or Administration;
- A combination of education and experience will be considered;
- Competent computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel and able to learn new systems quickly;
- Able to multi-task and demonstrate strong time-management skills;
- Knowledge of Better Impact and Smarter U systems are considered an asset;
- Experience working in a not-for-profit organization is considered an asset;
- Interest in volunteer management is considered an asset;
- Evidence of a clear Police Information Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search;
- Three professional references required.
What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Provide excellent customer service through management and triaging of volunteer email inbox;
- Assist with duties within the volunteer lifecycle process, such as starting reference checks, generating volunteer police check letters, assisting with online training access, and other duties as needed;
- Monitor, package and distribute volunteer supplies through inter-office;
- Update and maintain volunteer database;
- Assist with volunteer recognition initiatives;
- Participate in the annual YMCA Let’s Raise & other special events;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Volunteer Engagement Supervisor/Manager.
