Our Leamington office is looking for an Bookkeeper. The primary focus of the Accounting Technician will be but not limited to assisting and carrying out the responsibilities for client bookkeeping, client payroll, notice to readers and personal tax returns. This role is not for a person on their CPA track.

Duties and responsibilities

Preparation of monthly and quarterly bookkeeping assignments for our clients (including, but not limited to: payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations)

Payroll calculations

Government remittances

Annual T4 reporting

Invoicing

Administrative tasks as assigned

Preparation of Notice to Reader financial statements

Preparation of T1 Personal Tax Returns

Qualifications

2-5 years Bookkeeping experience

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Minimum 2 years’ experience with QBO, QuickBooks and Sage

Advanced Certified QBO

Plooto working knowledge

Xero platform experience an asset

A goal-oriented approach to work

The ability to handle multiple priorities.

Problem-solving ability and able to meet all deadlines

Confident and self-motivation

Time Management and organizational skills

Desire to take initiative

Working conditions

General office environment.

Sitting for extended periods of time.

Travel required as business needs dictate to assist other locations as needed.

Standard working hours are between 8am and 5 pm, however busy periods may require flexibility in working hours.
