Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Ensure brokerage-level compliance with the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act, 2002, its Regulations and Code of Ethics;
  • Ensure the appropriate administration of brokerage trust and general operating accounts, including reconciliations, record keeping and reporting in accordance with the regulations;
  • Be fully available, responsive, and are able to answer agent inquiries with sound judgment;
  • Assist in recruiting and retention of best-in-class agents;
  • Assist with agent development programs, group and one-on-one training for agents ;
  • Liaise with regulators, associations, boards, legal counsel and other brokerages as required;
  • Attend and participate in all regulatory hearings, arbitrations, appeal processes, and oversee and contribute to all brokerage and agent submissions and responses regarding the same;
  • Act as FINTRAC Compliance Officer to ensure and oversee the development and application of written FINTRAC policies and procedures, risk assessments, third party and regulator audits, record keeping and reporting;
  • Participate in local industry boards, committees, and associations where beneficial, as well as company events and projects as required; and
  • Support agents in setting and exceeding goals.

Technical Skills and Requirements

  • RECO Broker's licence required;
  • Current experience and membership in good standing with TRREB and/or other Ontario MLS Boards;
  • Must have demonstrated success and experience in recruiting, retention and training of agents;
  • Looking to hire any licensed Real Estate Broker that has a good book of business;
  • Preferred Minimum 2 years’ experience as Broker of Record / Branch Manager in overseeing the regulatory and compliance aspects of a real estate brokerage (Very flexible with this requirement); and
  • Strong and comprehensive working knowledge of FINTRAC, CREA, RECO and TRREB regulations, including REBBA 2002.

Commission: $140,000.00-$275,000.00 per year

Salary: $15.00-$23.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
