Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Toronto or Vancouver office:

Senior Client Executive – Vice President

The role is critical to the oversight and stewardship of a book of nearly $20M GWP and supported by 5 team members.

The book is in significant growth mode and the successful candidate will be able to identify opportunities and sell in to a defined value proposition that serves and a specific industry class

  • What will the new colleague need to accomplish in their first 30/60/90 days to be considered a great hire?

Digesting and comprehension of the day to day for the average client in the portfolio and awareness of the outliers and unique needs

  • What does the team/business the colleague will be joining look like? (ex: experience and tenure of the current colleagues, tenure with the firm, what strengths of team)

The team is comprised of 5 individuals that support the portfolio. The role will be to function as the Client Executive on the totality of the book and support the team where needed.
Work closely with the respective National Affinity Insurance Solutions Leader and the National Affinity Growth Leader

  • What does the training and development plan of this role look like?

Engagement with the current team and outgoing Client Executive will be critical to the training and development of this role. Administrative processes have been built and are in place to allow for efficient communication with our partner markets.

We will count on you to:

  • Supporting clients through renewal process with premium bands of $100-$400K range
  • Provide exceptional client service and solutions to drive retention and overall business revenue growth
  • Liaison with key centres of influence
  • Overall administrative ownership with key insurer partners
  • Assisting team members with at risk portfolio participants
  • Strong organizational skills to support a high volume book of business with renewal dates throughout the year
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization including the ‘C’ Suite.

What you need to have:

  • 8+ years of commercial insurance experience with a minimum of 3 years in a Client Executive type role managing a book of business
  • Applicable Insurance Broker Provincial Licensing
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience within an insurance and risk consulting environment, preferably including one or more insurance related designations or degrees
