Universal Precision Technology is a well-established organization that specializes in the manufacturing of precision components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace, aircraft, military, medical, optical and defense sectors. We are looking to increase our diverse and dynamic team with the addition of skilled individuals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Generate and operate CMM Programs for First, In-Process and Last Off

· Utilizes CMM data to identify and resolve problems

· Main programming language is PC-DMIS

· Analyze and report out dimensional results

· Investigate and suggest improvements for measurement methods

· Instruct co-workers on CMM setup/programs when required

· Detailed drawing review for GD&T understanding and feasibility

· Support Quality Engineer/Inspectors as needed

· Assist the Quality Control Lead in preparation of First Article Inspection package when required

· Ensure compliance with all AS9100 REV D and ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing and quality standards

· Identify/ tag/ segregate and record accurate data regarding any non-conforming components

· Other duties as assigned by the QA Supervisor or Management

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION

· CMM programming with advanced techniques (minimum 5 years’ experience)

· Experience with computer-aided programming and operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)

· 5 years PC-DMIS Experience preferred.

· Preferably 5 plus years of experience in CMM programming

· Advanced Blueprint Reading & GD&T

· Capable of working independently as well as collaborating and coordinating efforts with colleagues

· Gage and fixture design

· Proficiency with inspection tools and Metrology equipment

· Advanced understanding of Metrology techniques

· Firm understanding of statistics and SPC

ADDITONAL REQUIREMENT

· Basic security clearance

· Own Steel-toe safety shoes
