Merit Manufacturing was founded in 2005 offering laser cutting and metal forming services to clients across Southwestern Ontario and Quebec. Sweeprite, a division of Merit Manufacturing, has been manufacturing road sweepers since 1978. Sweeprite division was founded in Regina Saskatchewan and move to Breslau, Ontario in 2018.
Sweeprite is known throughout the road sweeping industry for its many innovations and the quality of its products.
We are presently seeking passionate, motivated and hardworking CNC Brake Press Operator to join our amazing team in the metal fabrication field. This is a permanent opportunity on a day shift that is full of potential for learning and growth!
Responsibilities:
- Experience operating a brake press machine
- Knowledge of various types of dies and their uses
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials
- Ability to bend and twist frequently
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Basic computer skills
- Math and measurement skills
- High school diploma or equivalent education
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
