The Andrew and Laura McCain Art Gallery (ALMAG) is a non-profit, community gallery and art centre in Florenceville-Bristol, NB E7L 3H6. Established in 1984, the Gallery proudly serves and supports artists and arts professionals throughout the province of New Brunswick and beyond. The Gallery’s core objective is to enrich, build and foster the visual arts in the area, fostering community and wellness through art and art appreciation. With eight to twelve exhibitions a year, the gallery's outreach program includes public art, art education for the schools, artist residencies, special events and festivals. ALMAG is dedicated to fostering visual culture and to providing opportunities for artists from diverse communities and at all levels of experience.

We're looking for an experienced Programming and Outreach Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and self-directed person, comfortable working with the public and on social media. Working with and reporting to the Director, areas of responsibility include programming and workshop development at the River Art Centre, scheduling, registrations, promotion, and marketing.

Organizing festivals and special events.

Reception: greeting visitors, community relations and outreach, volunteers, and gallery shop.

Communications: producing and managing social media, promotion and marketing, newsletters, website.

Administrative assistance to the director.

Assets: Excellent language skills, French speaker, formal studies in Fine Arts

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement River Art Centre workshops and programs
• Greet visitors and conduct daily gallery communications
• Assist with Gallery administration
• Special events coordinator.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30,000.00-$36,000.00 per year
