Crew Chief's role:

In this field position, you will be leading a crew performing oilfield and pipeline construction surveys.

Crew Chief duties include:

• Completion of survey calculations
• Communication with clients, field representatives and site supervisors

• Paid training for all required safety tickets
• Guaranteed hours, industry competitive wage rates and opportunities for significant overtime

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

• Familiar with all facets of oilfield surveying; including but not limited to well site surveys, pipeline surveys and line locating
• Experienced operator of Total Station and GPS technology
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license (abstract required at the time of interview)
• Safety training (i.e. H2S, First Aid, ATV, etc.) is required and will be provided as needed
• Willingness and availability to work a varied schedule based on client demands. This may include working in remote locations, rotational schedules and extended work days (overtime eligible)
• Compliance with our drug and alcohol policy, which includes screening, is mandatory
• Travel out of town will be required
• Physical ability to perform the requirements of the job
• Willingness to work in all types of weather conditions
• Preferred candidates will have:
• A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a Crew Chief role
• Completed post-secondary training in a Geomatics/Survey program (equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered)
• Multidisciplinary background including oilfield, municipal and construction surveys
