Job description
Greenkey Farms Inc. is seeking a reliable farm worker. We are a family-owned modernized robotic dairy operation located approximately one mile outside of the City of Steinbach.
Work is permanent full-time and we are willing to train the right individual. Previous experience in livestock and machinery is an asset.
Pay will be based on experience and performance.
Flexible schedule but must be willing to work some evenings and weekends and longer hours at certain times of the year.
Responsibilities will include:
Caring for Herd
preparing and providing feed as well as maintaining feed and health records for calves
moving and handling cattle
treating and vaccinating
reviewing health and reproduction reports
Cleaning
scraping and refreshing stalls
cleaning robot rooms
maintaining and overall clean environment
perform daily equipment checks, identify issues and alert supervisor
Operate machinery
Other tasks as required
Requirements:
Reliable and able to get yourself to and from work
Teamplayer
Observant and willing to learn
Able to prioritize and problem solve
Calm demeanor and able to work with others as well as independently
Comfortable with use of technology (computer, smartphone)
Physically capable, able to lift 50lbs
