In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson International Truck Centres, working in a temporary, full-time position of Delivery & Warehouse Person, reporting to the Manager of Service. The Delivery & Warehouse Person is responsible for promptly assisting the needs of our customers in delivering required parts and supplies as well keeping inventory control over parts and accessories. Your base location will be Kamloops, B.C. and will require up to 50% travel throughout our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders.
• Perform general warehouse duties.
• Load and unload truck accurately and safely for customer deliveries.
• Fill customer orders by retrieving material from the warehouse.
• Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received items.
• Ensure housekeeping and proper record keeping of deliveries and inventory.
• Willingness to continually gain new knowledge of inventory items and business processes.
• Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Performs all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
• Understanding of lean and 5S theory for improved business performance.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Delivery experience preferred
• Valid minimum Class 5 Drivers license
• Possess a clean driver abstract
• Professional and friendly demeanor
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
