Job Position: Delivery Driver/Courier
Location: Scarborough, Ontario
We are a FedEx Ground independent contractor looking to grow our team of delivery drivers servicing the Scarborough area. We are looking for full time drivers to work 5 days a week that are able to manage delivering 60 to 150 packages per day. Packages may weigh up to 120 lbs. Job Duties:
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report any vehicle damages or malfunctions accordingly
- Safely operate vehicles on a daily basis. Abide by all governing laws and company policies
- Must notify direct supervisor as soon as possible of any accidents, tickets, or other problems
- Organizes truck to ensure efficient package delivery
- Scan packages with computerized tracking devices and deliver them error-free to the assigned work area
- Complete any pickups throughout the assigned work area
- Provide top tier customer service and hold high professionalism while on the job
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of class G drivers license
- Must have clean drivers abstract
- Pass a criminal background check
- Ability to handle packages weighing up to 120lbs
- Previous delivery driver/courier experience an asset
- Technology literate
- Strong problem solving, attention to detail and time management skills
- Able to work independently and unsupervised throughout the day
