Job Description: Delivery Driver, Flooring Warehouse Labourer

This position plays a critical role in the daily operations of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Drive into Winnipeg or across MB with our company trucks to pick up or deliver flooring products to homes or businesses.
• Confirm packing slip matches product to ensure proper inventory control
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Cut carpet, sheet vinyl or various flooring supplies, as well as prepare or pick orders for installers or customers
• Keep accurate and detailed records of incoming and outgoing stock or flooring orders
• Operate a forklift with pole (not forks) to load or unload rolls of carpet or sheet vinyl
• General cleaning duties & store setup, including building or moving flooring displays
• Place stock orders and answer phones
• Greet and direct customers to flooring displays or sales staff when needed
• Load or unload flooring samples or stock into customer’s vehicle or home

Skills Wanted

• The ideal candidate for this position has at least two years of experience in a warehouse environment
• Experience as a delivery driver of 1 ton box trucks, flooring associate or forklift operation an asset
• Experience with using a tape measure is an asset
• High attention to detail required, along with strong math skills
• Able to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision as well as the ability to work as a team
• Great physical strength and stamina to perform many labor-intensive duties such as lifting, pushing and pulling heavy flooring products up to 100 lbs
• Friendly, positive attitude
• 1 or 2 dogs are here daily. The applicant is hopefully not allergic to dogs.
• Required: Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record and proof of Covid 19 Vaccination

Salary: $16 to $17 per hour, depending on skills & experience, with the possibility of higher pay based on performance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 7:45 am to 4:45 pm.
