Job Description
We are looking for someone to fill the role of Dispatch Assistant. This person will be responsible for:
- Dealing with emails
- Answering incoming phone calls
- Providing customer service
- Setting delivery appointments and contacting customers for pickups.
- Dispatching driver and loads for the terminal.
- Coordinating all maintenance issues with mechanics.
- Working with daily inbound/outbound shipments and planning service for each accordingly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Additional Information
- Qualified candidate must be organized, computer competent, and speak fluent English
- Consistently answering the phone and dealing with driver requirements - hook up information, departure times, delay information and other concerns as required
- Scheduling to execute all of the terminal pick up and deliveries on time
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Track shipments for customers
- Other duties as advised or required
