Driver/Merchandiser (Bilingual) Job at St-Albert Cheese Co-op

ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES-Territory for this position is in Dorion-Vaudreuil Québec
Reporting to the Director of business and development, the Driver-Mechandiser is responsible for the marketing of St Albert Cheese products and increasing visibility of products in assigned accounts. He is also responsible for finding new clients, meeting with current clients on a regular basis and maintain good relations with them. The Driver-Mechandiser must also ensure a high quality of customer service, perform delivery and merchandising activities while respecting occupational Health and Safety as well as Food Safety rules.
MAIN TASKS
- Lead and support sales and merchandising activities for all products with clients within his territory;
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in his district;
- Represent St-Albert Cheese and act in a courteous and professional manner at all times;
- Drive between St-Albert Cheese factory and clients located in Dorion-Vaudreuil to deliver ordered products and collect payments when necessary, in accordance with established procedures;
- Seize any potential opportunities and ensure appropriate follow-ups;
- Maintain and improve the marketing of our products through in-store inventory management;
- Develop a product implementation to enhance St-Albert Cheese brand in-store;
- Coordinate marketing activities related to regional sales objectives and communicate this to our clients;
- Develop effective business relationships with customers in his sector and provide management with information about our competitors and challenges seen on the ground;
- Take orders in-store as needed (while respecting cut off times);
- Respect the rules of the road and always respect the health and safety standards in force;
- Ensure the delivery of products without delay and without damage;
- Fill out his journey ticket and carry out his safety check (inspection tower) according to the laws in force;
- Check that the orders to be delivered are his own and confirm that the quantities ordered are consistent with the quantities indicated on the boxes, sign the ticket and return to the sender;
- Complete the deposit sheet and submit to the Service des finances, according to the procedures;Collaborate with the Logistics and Business Development departments to manage an operating budget that will be reviewed every 2 weeks;
- Perform other related duties
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Relevant driver and delivery experience; Relevant and recent merchandiser experience;
- Demonstrate and exhibit high levels of professionalism;
- Experience in sales in private label and national brand related to the dairy industry (asset);
- Ability to work on weekends when required occasionally;
- Valid driving license and have a driving record in order;
- Be able to lift weights that may exceed 20 Kg;
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task;
- Has a sense of responsibility and autonomy;
- Be versatile, flexible and reliable;
- Has an open mind and is able to adapt to changes;

Status: Permanent full time position Work Schedule: Day, must be available on weekends when required
