A drywaller is skilled in the following ways:
*Must be proficient in Drywall Repairs vs new drywall builds!
- Measuring, cutting and installing drywall sheets
- Tear out old or damaged drywall
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks using trowel and broad knife
- Tape and embed joints
- Texturing of all types
- Site preparation and protection
Other stuff that’ll help you be successful but isn’t mandatory:
- Experienced in priming and painting
- Drywall Finisher and Plasterer ticket
- WHMIS
- First Aid
A rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.
