General Labourer Summer Student

Transportation Services Department

The County of Grey is currently recruiting for one (1) Summer Student to work in the Transportation Services department from May to August (approximately 16 weeks). The work could be carried out at any of our Transportation locations in Chatsworth, Clarksburg, Flesherton and Ayton.

As a member of the Transportation Services team, you will perform a variety of functions in our Maintenance division, including traffic control and road maintenance.

The successful candidate will possess good communication skills, an eagerness to learn and be able to work well unsupervised. Previous experience in a physically demanding position is beneficial.

The normal hours of work will be Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm. Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Eligible to work in Canada
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Valid Ontario Class G2 or G driver’s license in good standing
• CSA approved safety boots
