The Society is accepting resumes for a part-time Group Program Worker (12 month contract). The successful applicant will work 25 hours per week and will be based out of our Stratford office. The incumbent will assume responsibility for facilitating parent education or self-help client groups and may provide outreach programs for children in group settings.

Qualifications:

• Minimum college diploma or an under-graduate degree
• Experience in child development/family dynamics or a combination of education and several years experience in the social service field
• An understanding of the principals of adult education and child development
• Ability to engage multi-problem, high conflict families would be an asset
• Good communication and writing skills
• Ability to be a role model for children/families
• Ability to illustrate clinical/group facilitation skills to include the building of relationships with assigned children/families on an individual basis or in a group setting
• Documentation requirements, with timelines, are minimal with this position

Salary: $19.77-$23.71/hour (depending on experience)
