Job Description

Harvest Technician

This position reports directly to the Cultivation Manager/Team Lead of Cultivation and operates alongside Horticulturists to ensure the production of the highest quality plants available. Follows established policies and procedures as necessary to perform job duties and tasks. Supports techniques and practices of cultivation and processing cannabis including transplanting, pruning, cleaning and sanitation, disease detection, and management, and packaging, etc. Maintains the integrity of cultivation and processing areas and supports the cultivation team as required to ensure the production of the best quality medical cannabis.

CORE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist in all harvest activities and post harvest activities

· Assist cultivation team with pruning, transplanting and cleaning

· Keep accurate records of all production activities

· Maintain good horticulture practices as well as good handling practices, while following GMP,GPP standards.

· Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety.

· All other duties assigned.

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Knowledge of cannabis diseases, how to prevent and control them

· Knowledge of pruning and trimming techniques

· Knowledge of drying and curing techniques

· Experience with good horticultural practices as well as good handling practices.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.

· Focuses simultaneously on short- and long-term goals; ability to identify problems quickly.

· Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety.

· Must possess excellent communication skills for communicating with peers, Cultivation Manager/Team Lead of Cultivation

· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management abilities.

· Highly capable of multi-tasking, with minimal supervision.

· Must have reliable transportation

· The chosen applicant will be required to successfully complete background and reference checks.
