Be a representative of the brand and the property as General Manager, where your leadership, strong interpersonal skills and strategic vision will drive an engaged team, guest satisfaction and maximize operating results. You will bring your strong commercial and business insight, and passion to drive the top line to exceed budgeted targets, and to well position the property in the marketplace.

About the hotel:

New-build Hampton Inn by Hilton Hamilton is in the downtown core where Queen & King Streets meet. Close to McMaster University, Columbia International College and Bayfront Park, this 12 Storey hotel features 154 guestrooms, free hot breakfast and four meeting rooms totaling 1700 square feet.

This location (7 Queen Street North Hamilton) is independently owned and operated under a Franchise Licence agreement with Hilton Worldwide and managed by Vrancor Hospitality Corporation, a Vrancor Group company. vrancor.com

You will be responsible for:

· Leading the business

· Lead the overall management and strategic direction of the property and support all departments in the achievement of operational targets

· Ensure full compliance with operating controls and legislation in all areas of the business

· Building your team

· Actively involved in the recruitment process of positions within the property to select the best fit

· Champion employee engagement and promote a collaborative and inclusive environment where all employees are encouraged to provide input

· Develop relationships within the local community

· Driving service culture and deliver best in class experience – every time

· Maintain product and service quality standards to exceed guest expectations

· Developing programs and initiatives to increase team engagement and achieve against performance and developmental goals

· Maintaining compliance with all required brand and service standards – collaborating with colleagues to exceed guest expectations

· Driving revenues and cost controls to increase profitability and maximum return on investment

Your experience and skills include:

· Previous experience in a leadership role within a similar hotel brand or business

· Passionate to grow and develop self and others

· Strong relator with ability to build relationships

· Strategic, creative and able to communicate effectively

· A proven leader who is able to inspire others

· Strong business acumen and demonstrated success in driving the commercial performance of the business and delivering on KPIs.

Preferred qualifications:

· New-hotel opening experience

· Local market knowledge and/or expertise

· Hilton brand experience
