In-Shop Heavy Equipment Technician

Ian Martin Workforce has partnered with a well established Agricultural organization, specializing in feed equipment and fleet service. They are seeking an In-Shop Heavy Equipment Technician to join their team who has experience with troubleshooting, repair and maintain on road and off road equipment.

What you will be doing…

• Working from the shop, Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain of a fleet of tractors including diagnostics, teardowns and rebuilds when no longer covered by warranty
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain trailers including cattle liners as well as some agricultural equipment
• Complete preventative maintenance as required in a timely manner
• Complete work orders and enter technician notes
• Adhere to all occupational health and safety standards as the company is committed to the protection and wellness of its employees
• Strong team player willing to help as needed such as, cut grass, weed whack, clean up, wash bay etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Why this is for you…

• Red Seal or Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification preferred
• Experience working with Highway Tractor Trailers and agricultural equipment such as feed boxes, silage trucks, and cattle liners
• Knowledge and experience with mechanical hydraulics, and electrical principles.
• Fabrication and welding experience with aluminum and steel an asset
• Class 1 or Class 3 Drivers License an asset
• Tire repairs and replacement knowledge
• High degree of product and computer software knowledge
• High degree of product and technical knowledge
• Self-motivated, excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable and a team player

Compensation & Benefits....

• Salary: $40 to $50 per hour depending upon experience
• $2,500 sign on bonus (paid out quarterly)
• Comprehensive Benefits package effective from Day One

• Full time year, round position
• Timings: 8.00am - 5.00pm (40 hours/week)
• Overtime after 40 hours or after 8 hours per day

Salary: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
